It is a good idea to plan and research your CD project considerably in advance of your deadline - this will help make the finished product more a CD cover of reflected quality and less something that has to depend on duplication companies being able to manage impossibly tight schedules.

Items
you may be charged for are as follows : CD copies, mastering, artwork films,
artwork copies, shrink-wrapping, additional artwork. Make sure you understand
each item that is presented on your bill as some may be duplicates of processes
your CD has already gone through. Don't forget, many CD duplication companies
will haggle, so you can reduce the price a little in many cases.
It is a good idea to send three copies of a mastered CD to the duplicators
- they will then be able to choose the one which produces the best image.
Also include with your CDs any artwork files plus proofs of your finished
product. Make sure you have spoken to the CD duplication comapany in advance
about what files will be acceptable.
Leave at least 2-3 weeks between the expected delivery of the finished CDs
and your distribution deadline.
These things are all failrly commonsense, but hopefully if they are considered
in advance you will avoid any nasty surprises when your disc is duplicated.
